Rewording of the ranking commission scheme is required. Currently it is the following
To gain a raise in rank or a commission (which literally means going from an NCO rank to CO rank) is earnt in many ways, however to ease your minds here are the following guidelines. So for those wishing to gain a rank from Private to say Corporal, this is how you can do so.
The most formal way is to request a raise in rank, after that the nearest moderator will observe a match between you and a clan members of equal or higher rank. If none of these are available look up the ranking scheme and locate the highest ranking member online at that time to observe preferable Level 3 and Level 4. This is a formality so we know who truly want a rank increase, and if they are worthy of such. So you say, but a higher rank, I will lose. Well that is not always the case.
1. If you win the match, well then it is very likely you will gain a raise in rank, and more likely to gain maybe 2 ranks increase or more to better suit your rank.
2. The alternative is that you lose, however, if you have shown promise and improved from the last rank gain or from your recruitment, you may gain a rank. To do this requires an appeal, usually a recommendations from a moderator to an Administrator or the Leaders themselves
Okay okay, so I forgot the most important commission you will ever get, is by impressing the clan so much that you are accepted into it. Now at the start no matter your skill the highest first rank is Lance Corporal (or different if the Ranking system has changed). The ranking you gain will be the following.
1. Winning the game in a slaughter and having a good economy or strategy will gain you Lance Corporal, or after 1 game, Corporal
2. Winning but not so impressively will gain Lance Corporal
3. Impressing, but not so much, whether you lose or win, you will gain Private First Class
4. Losing, but show some skill, Private
5. Losing, but if any are willing to accept you for training, Recruit
Now the alternative way to gain rank is by commitment to the clan, either helping out or staying in there for a long time, and if you wish you will gain a rank increase.
To distinguish between those who gained the ranks such way and those who earnt that rank the more traditional way, each time they are promoted they will have a certain letter beside the rank.
· If a {C} or similar is found then this was gained through skill
· If an {L} or similar is shown this means the rank was gained from commitment, aiding the clan, or as a personal favour from the leaders.
Now many would disagree with this, however you can not deny that the system works, as shown by the Dawn of War Branch, as well as the once major Total War Branches which are now minors. IN the case of Empire Earth, this ranking scheme has existed since 2000.
The maximum ranking scheme that can be earnt through combat and prowess is a level 2 style of rank, which can range from General to Warmaster, (this may have changed in new ranking scheme). However some may gain Level 1 clearance as Administrator and Moderators. Now the hierarchy formed is where everything political in the clan happens and where things are discussed which will affect the clan or a certain branch.
More information can be gained from whoever is in charge of your branch of the clan
Disagree, or agree on parts, so it will be more usable in the future
